OIC Advisory Board

The Town is establishing an Intermunicipal advisory board that will be comprised of 18 – 22 representatives from various villages, special districts and school districts. The advisory board is appointed by the Town Supervisor and councilmember’s, all areas of the town will be represented. They will meet regularly to address issues that we are facing, large and small, so that we can understand how to connect with each other and grow the dialogue that is very much needed.

It is the mission of the Intermunicipal Advisory Board to provide information and guidance as to the Town’s role in regard to working with other governments.

The overall objective is for the Town to facilitate the sharing of resources in a manner that reduces costs to the taxpayer while providing the highest level of services possible.

The Advisory Board will be given specific projects, such as studying the manner in which ambulance services are provided, throughout the Town and will also be asked to research, investigate and brainstorm on issues generated from county and state groups being organized to evaluate the past, present and future of the district concept in New York State.
